Am wanting to go to Finland at Christmas from Darwin, and no matter where I or our travel agent look, we can't get Jetstar on the same PNR as Finnair for the DRW-SIN sector to connect to Helsinki. Jetstar fares are advertised on their website, and JQ/Finnair are interline partners. Why can't we book? Any help much appreciated.

I am not 100% sure of the answer but J* is a point to point carrier so you won't be able to book it all together.

I would try and book it on the Finnair web site and they might be able to link it all together.

I know the J* web site won't offer flights other than there own but I do know the CX web site will offer J* flights.

True - JQ appears on AY, QF and OW for flights that are sooner, but not even QF Codeshare appears. When QF withdrew their flight and replaced it with JQ, not only did we get a cheaper flight, but the service disappeared too.

JQ don't want the responsibility of looking after you should things go wrong, which seems to happen a lot on the DRW SIN route with them.

I was at the FlightCentre Travel Expo today in DRW, and asked the Qantas stand what was going on. They were surprised that Dec and Jan flights had not been loaded into the GDS. They reckoned Monday or Tuesday should see them loaded, as November flights had recently been added (as of Friday).

Jetstar advised me on Twitter that airfares won't be on the #GDS for at least another month (ie April).

Here's their reply.

Perhaps being an LCC they can't cough up a few bucks to become an AFF member?

The plot thickens. Even with Jetstar flights up for December (waiting for Jan return flight), Finnair say for the flight to not be $10k pax scary, it needs to be Qantas codeshare. QF271 is outgoing, Qf278 I understand return, and can only be marketed as part of joint fares. Might help if Qantas load their code shares on this Jetstar route beyond June.
i think Silkair / Virgin will be on a winner with this route with the half-coughd Qantas Group effort. My travel agent spoke to Finnair Sales Reps yesterday, and I understand they are as frustrated as I.

I have been advised by agent that we need QF Codeshare to be loaded. That is at the discretion of JQ, not Qantas. Loaded now until Oct.
