Hi,

My wife and I flew to Honolulu on Hawaiian Airlines in May this year. Since we returned we have been trying, in vain, to get points credited to our Velocity accounts. We have contacted Velocity Rewards 5 times in the last 6 months, we have supplied the flight numbers, the e-ticket numbers, even the seat numbers that we occupied and they still seem unable or unwilling to credit the points. Any recommendations as to who I should contact next?

thanks

Scott

Welcome to AFF!

It appears only certain fare classes are eligible, are you sure you were flying an eligible fare class?

Code:
Fare Type Earn rate per mile*
Coach (Economy) Class (N,B,I,Q,S,V,W,X,Y,M)	1 Velocity Point (min. 500)
First Class (J,P,F) 1.5 Velocity Points (min. 750)

Yes I noticed that after looking through some of the other posts. One leg was B and the other was H, so at least 1 should be eligible. Question is why on earth can't anyone from Virgin answer the question for me?

Edit: Oh and thanks for the welcome :)

mitasol,

Welcome to AFF.

I am sending a PM to Velocity Rewards on your behalf.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Thanks, hopefully this will be more successful than my contact via their website. Having said that their lack of resolution was the reason that I found this forum :)

Well, thanks to Bill for alerting Dean to my problems and also to Dean for his swift action, the points have now been credited. A happy customer now

My question relates to earning points on Hawaiin Airlines but with QF, not Velocity.

I'm looking at a Hawaiin flight on an AA code. The QF website seems to indicate that I will earn as if was an AA flight. That is, it doesn't say "Points and status credits are not earned on codeshare flights operated by airlines other than oneworld Alliance Airlines" as it seems to with a lot of the other oneworld airlines.

I spose the answer is the same for an AA codeshare on Alaska Airlines which, as I understand it, earns as if it was an AA flight.

Have I got it right? Do AA codeshare flights on (i) Hawaiin Airlines and (ii) on Alaska Airlines earn QFF points, along with the cabin and status bonus?

Has anyone successfully had Hawaiian points credited to Velocity?

I made a booking via a travel agent for two short inter-island flights in V-class on HA, and I tried to add Velocity numbers to the flights six times unsuccessfully...
- at booking - the travel agent said they couldn't select or enter Virgin Australia or Velocity Rewards.
- after booking and before travel I called Hawaiian Airlines - they also couldn't enter Virgin Australia or Velocity Rewards - they said the closest option they could find was Virgin Atlantic (VS).
- at check in at HNL
- at the gate in HNL
- at check in at OGG
- at the gate at OGG

I contacted Virgin on Facebook who said they should be able to do it, but if not, do a retro-claim (which I have now done). I'll post back when I hear back regarding the retro claim, but it seems odd that Hawaiian really had no idea.

The points finally posted today. They didn't get it right, but I don't know if I will worry about chasing them up. They credited 101 points (101 mile trip) for each sector, when the Velocity Rewards site says that you earn 250 points minimum.
