Traveling in late October from BOS - LAX. On the AA (US) site there is only one seat "P" class seat in F at $654 USD, but expertflyer shows only 2 out of 12 seats occupied in the F cabin. Full first is around $1050 USD (and F via the AU site is $2007!).

I have put this P seat on 24 hour hold, but in my very limited experience the prices for these YUP type seats generally go down as you get closer to the travel date. So I'm not sure if I need to grab this now, or whether more P class seats will be released over time and possibly at a better price?

I suggest you check the loadings on the same day of the week from now up until the flight (ignoring those around Thanksgiving).

That may give you an idea ...

TBH, I have not really seen LAX/BOS to be "inexpensive" - was looking for L and A class in relation to a LONE4 some time ago and A (upgrade) class was hard to find. ... although connections via DFW/ORD/PHX/CLT may be more reasonable.
