Hi Everyone,

Just wanting to find out if there is anyway of knowing if an upgrade from Y>J is available online (prior to booking), or do you need to call to be 100%?

For example, if you can see that there is an available Guest Business ticket/s on the service you want to upgrade for....does that mean upgrades are available? Or do award tickets and upgrades pull from seperate inventory?

Cheers

I tried using expertflyer but i could not find their upgrade with miles availability
Best thing would be to call them up or you can use Upgrade using Miles option from your Etihad Account. Incase you have booked via a travel agest like Amex, Please get your travel agent to do the work.

Thanks

I am fairly sure that is correct, if there is a reward ticket available you can upgrade your ticket online. Presuming you have the correct economy fare.
I did this recently myself and have seen it mentioned to be the case on here before.

Thanks for the feedback.

I presumed the above (i.e. award availability = upgrade availability).
Prior to booking I just rang to confirm upgrades were available - and then booked/upgraded then and there no problems

Hi blingy

Just out of interest, do you have connecting flights, and if so did you have the option of only upgrading one leg?

I'll be flying to Europe next year and wondered about the possibility of only upgrading on one of the legs each way.

Cheers.

It is broken down into individual legs.
