xONE3 fares from Australia

Hi Mr Matt,

A xONE3 is not possible from Australia due to our need to route via Asia and the even on the one flight number through to Europe (ie. QF1 or 2, BA9 or 10), it counts Asia.

The fare you are referring to appears to be a circle fare which is different to a RTW.

The three continent One World Airlines Circle Fares, only circle the continents Australia - Asia - Africa - Australia or v.v. and an example routing as listed at BestFlights is Sydney - Johannesburg - Capetown - Johannesburg - Hong Kong - Tokyo - Sydney. As you can see, you don't actually travel around the world as with a xONE3, 4 or 5, but just around the Indian Ocean, Asia and back to Australia or vv.

Check out this for more details and I'm sure a few more regulars will be able to help you out.
oneworld - Circle Trip Explorer

Hope this helps,

Thanks littl_flier for confirming what I understood.

Does anybody know the fare basis for these fares?

I think they are xCIRC22/26 depending on milegae - at least that is what I have looked at for a Circle Pacific fare (dont get me started on the circle asia fare - pah)

no - these aren't circle pacific, but circle explorer (link)

Fare code is xONEWCx (with economy's x being LH or LL depending on season).

According to my copy of the xCIRyy fare rules, the fare is called "CIRCLE PACIFIC EXPLORER FARES"

But that is not what the OP linked to. No Africa on circle pacific explorer fare, for example. ;)
