Wrong title in booking : Ms rather than Mr

I asked them they want money to change the title that to 220 AUD.
My agent mistakenly added Ms title instead Mr on the booking.

Although I feel like the fee is high, looking at flightnetwork which is an online booking site, you have to enter your personal details with the title being mandatory. Seems unlikely that the website would mistakenly book you under the wrong title.

This is where booking directly with Qantas would have worked in your favour. If you call up with any mistakes within the day, they don't charge a change fee. https://www.qantas.com/au/en/manage-booking/same-day-no-mistake.html

Thank you for informing @kpro. I did the same thing and Mr was selected automatically on my laptop. And tickets prices being so high can’t make mistakes like this. Yes i went through this page and ideally i called my agent before 24hrs of booking the flight.

Hmmmm. What sort of agent have you booked through? @TheInsider can you elaborate? Easy as just asking at check-in? But may not be QF of course.

@madrooster Any advice?
Hey @RooFlyer i just had a word with the travel agency and they told me it wont be an issue related to title. Its just the first and last name that creates an issue. They also told me to contact Qantas and if this is needed. If Qantas replies with yes it is required to have a correct title then the Agency would charge me AUD 220 ( AUD 170 is agency’s cost to change anything- which is absurd) to change the title which is too much.

Qantas upgraded me on my flight to Griffith to “Hon” rather than Mr.

At least Hon is gender neutral.

OK - see advice above. If necessary, change at airport on check-in for no charge.

Good you came to AFF for advice - there is a lot of experience here (including airline insiders and travel agents)! Part of that experience would be, in future, avoid booking through sites like Flightnetwork. It may be cheap up-front, but if there are any issues, then it might not be smooth sailing. Hopefully your flight goes off without a hitch .
