A question for those who have stayed frequently in Hilton properites and are members of HHonors. I'm looking to stay at South Wharf in a few weeks and have found a rate on wotif that beats the Hilton advance purchase rate by about $30. I have seen below in the T&Cs of HHonors that 'third party stays' are not eligible. Despite this, I've seen a thread on FlyerTalk stating that points were/are credited so am slightly confused

I'm just curious to see if any members have expereinces on these types of bookings and whether they do or do not accumulate HHonors points. My previous Hilton bookings have all been through their site, so obviously no issues.

Any adivce would be greatly appreciated

The T&Cs quote from HHonors is:

3. A "stay" is defined as the total number of consecutive nights spent at the same hotel, whether or not a guest checks out and checks back in again. The term "stay" under these Terms and Conditions does not include any stays of the following nature: wholesale/tour operator packages; contracted airline crew rates; travel agency discount rates; packages exclusively for Las Vegas Hilton casino player card holders; Team Member Travel rates, Hilton Family Travel Rates; complimentary or barter rooms; Reward Stays; NET Group rates; Series Group or IT Group rates; contracted Entertainment or Encore rates; third party websites bookings (irrespective of rate paid); and "opaque" channel bookings where the brand is unknown at the time of purchase. HHonors points may not be earned for ineligible stays or during ineligible stays, including without limitation, folio charges incurred during ineligible stays.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

You are very unlikely to get the points by using Wotif.

Here's two options:
- Call hotel and see if they will match the Wotif rate.
or lodge a "best rate" claim through Hilton Our Best Rates. Guaranteed.

I would ring the hotel and/or the reservations line and point out you found a better rate elsewhere, they will match it and take $50 off your bikll, problem solved :)
