Woolworths said it hoped to release an Android version of the app "in the next couple of months" and was investigating adding more functions.

Interesting - might test this one out for the shopping list functions at the very least. Most of our shopping is in Woolies due to proximity.

This has been around for a few weeks and has been mentioned in the EDR thread as some people have had FF point bonuses to download the app.

I liked picking a recipe from the App and it loaded all the items to the shopping list.. Pretty Cool !! i did scan some of the most purchased items in the pantry and will give the shopping list a try out. Altho as I was going through the aisles today of course the screen kept going to sleep and I had to keep waking it up. Think it will be a novelty for me.

Just had a little bit of a play around with the android version of the app, shares much of the same features with the iPhone version and very accurate with the item locations (would be interesting to see what comes up location wise if I scanned a loaf of bread from the store bakery :?

One thing I did notice is that it didn't seem to like the 'Reduced' and serviced deli stickers, the latter is understandable but not sure why the reduced stickers didn't work :-|

My iPhone app is stuck on local supermarket I CANNOT for the life of me get it to reset. I may have to delete. Wife android works OK

I don't mind these apps, however there's a lot of work still to do.

One of the biggest problems is how poor cameras effect scanning ability and results. I've never been able to get both the Coles and WW apps to scan more than 40% of items, which makes these apps for the most part not very useful.

The other frustration is the continued non-support for tablet devices.

The documentation that was sent to the stores/published on the web is a bit scant on troubleshooting, all I could find was:

• How do I change my preferred store?
- iPhone: Click on MORE in the navigation bar then click on MY STORE. You can then choose a different store as your preferred store. Android: Click on Store Finder and search for your new store. When the results appear hold down on the pin until the menu appears and select it as your new preferred store
- The App will automatically update your shopping lists to organise them in aisle order for your new preferred store.

Do iPhones have a way to clear the application data?

Other than that, I don't know, sorry

I sent Woolworths a suggestion to add a barcode image to the items in their weekly specials mail drop. Response below.
Thankyou for contacting us with your feedback. We have recently started using QR codes in our catalogues and have been looking at incorporating barcodes as well. We feel this may compliment the Woolworths App for iPhone. We are in talks with the catalogue team about this and provided the non smart phone savvy customers are not confused or disadvantaged we see no reason why you wouldn't see this in a catalogue in the future.

Have you tried going into the Storefinder on the Home page of the App and entering postcode?
If I do this I can find any store and set it as my home store.
