New UK & Europe $1679 Sep-Nov On sale for 4 Days & USA $899 & NZ Flights from $169 & 7 Day Fly-Drive $429 & New Domestic from $25 + B Fee

And before I go just a HEADS UP watch out for the “Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing” at the moment. One of our “major” on-line competitors are under investigation for allegedly trading illegally in Australia and not having any Travel Agents Licences!!!! At Best Flights we are in our 10th year of legally trading, having competitors is healthy as long as we are all on the same playing field. WATCH OUT who you are booking with before you part with your money, make sure they are legally trading in this country “It does matter WHO you book with” !!
Anyone have an idea of who they're talking about?

Warning about fake travel website - Local business - inMyCommunity - Perth, Western Australia
CONSUMER Protection is warning jetsetters against a “bogus” travel website that is operating without a licence and claiming to be an agent for major airlines.
The department is trying to shut down the website which is hosted overseas and uses a travel agent licence number and ABN of a legitimate travel business.
Consumer Protection commissioner Anne Driscoll said the site was investigated after complaints from travel agents that were asked to match the low fares.
“We strongly recommend that consumers avoid making any bookings or revealing any bank or credit card details on this site until our investigations are compete,” she said.
Travellers wanting to check if the agency or website they are using is registered can call 1300 30 40 54 or email [email protected].
Moves to close down bogus travel website - Department of Commerce
The website – www.AusFlightz.net – is hosted overseas and is using a travel agent licence number and ABN of a legitimate travel business. It is also falsely claiming to be an agent for major airlines.

www.ausflightz.net

Year, Commerce's Consumer Protection unit was posting warnings about Ausflightz on Twitter/Facebook as early as May 14th:

Warning: travel website www dot AusFlightz dot net is bogus & Consumer Protection in #Perth is moving to close it down. More to follow... Please RT
Twitter / ConsumerProtectionWA: Warning: travel website ww ...

Bogus website alert: www dot AusFlightz dot net hosted overseas, address doesn't exist, phone disconnected. Consumers advised not to book travel via

Their call centre and complaints line as I understand work very closely with their Media unit, and as soon as something starts trending there they're onto it like a flash. Once its confirmed and signed off, they're pumping out messages through every channel they can to make sure people don't get unnecessarily burned.

Anyone have an idea of who they're talking about?

Expedia.com.au says the following:

Expedia.com.au is operated by US-based Expedia, Inc. While, Expedia, Inc is not currently eligible for a travel agent’s licence in Australia or to participate in the Travel Compensation Fund, our services are backed by the resources of the world’s largest online travel company.

... I wonder if they are connected?

Well it's not now possible to book anything through auzflightz.net - in very prominent lettering it says: "Account Suspended" - not before time by the sound of things.
