Why can I book NZ feeder flights with QF but not with VA/DJ?

Often book flights for my family between MEL/ SYD/BNE and Tauranga, NZ. I can book this fine on the QF site but can't make an equivalent booking using VA (unless I'm missing something, which is possible).

I can book the flight on the NZ site (which I've just done), but seems curious of DJ to forgo this revenue...

The trans-tasman revenue sharing agreement includes bookings with domestic connections. So we don't really know how much, if any, revenue DJ are actually foregoing by allowing this situation to persist.

But the reason it can't be done almost certainly lies with DJ IT systems, namely DJ domestic and short haul being on Navitaire. Presumably moving the whole airline to Sabre helps fix this but.... who knows.

Surely they'd forgo 100% - since the flight ends up being 100% NZ (obviously given a choice, I avoid Pacific Blue on TT routes). Would happily let DJ be the marketing carrier if their site would let me...
