Am new to this so here goes!

I have 2 trips coming up both on the Works Deluxe package so that gives me extra room. I am travelling with my partner and it would seem that the centre seat is blocked to maximise the room benefit

However, any advice on which seats to choose for max leg room?

Welcome to AFF. :D

What type of aircraft are you travelling in? A320, B747, B767 or B777?

I am so confused. We are flying Works Deluxe on 320 in September, Melbourne to
Wellington and have been allocated 7a & 7c. They have not allocated our return
flights just ex Melbourne. I have not seen any reference to these seats being
Works Deluxe Seats in all correspondence I have been reading both within this site
and all others I have read. They all seem to talk about 11a & 11c or the first few
rows. The seat map shown on our booking indicates rows, 7,8 &9 I think are the
works deluxe seats but nobody else has even mentioned these rows.

Please see the seat map I posted (Airbus A320 (171I) - Seat Maps - Travelling - Air*New*Zealand - New Zealand Site).

Also, here is a seat map for I flight I have coming up next month.

Essentially, Works deluxe do not get the best seats; just a space between you.

As for not being able to allocate the other seat, that is probably to to NZ being unsure of the 320 configuration they are using.

Basically the Works Deluxe gets you the spare seat in the middle blocked out, and that's about it. The seats are generally somewhere around rows 6 thru to 9, they were originally also using 12 and 13 but have stopped as these are exit rows and sometimes deluxe customers may be small children so unable to sit in exit rows.

There is no additional legroom in the Deluxe seating you are only getting the spare seat in between you and the next person.

The other bonus you get include additional baggage, access to J/cls check-in and the lounge before departure

Thanks for the quick responses. I did look at your link but that did not show our seats as work deluxe seats either, but your booking link is exactly the same as mine showing our selected seats as works deluxe. It was just that all other discussion never mentioned those seats as works deluxe allocations. Was a little worried. I realise we do not get extra leg room, only the blocked out seat but did like the extras that went with this package. I normally fly Qantas "J" to Wellington but obtained these seats during their sale a couple of weeks back and thought they would fit the bill. Once again thanks.

If 11A/C are still available for Works Deluxe on you flight, this give an extra 3" of leg room.
