Hi any advice and recommendation which hotel to stay in Ft Lauderdale? Will be there for a couple of days.

Is it Fort Lauderdale your after help on or Miami. FLL I cannot help with but I can name a few nice ones on miami beach. ;)

Try the Ritz Carlton on Lincon Rd.

Take a look at the W South Beach @ Miami and Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa @ Fort Lauderdale.

Well, I just spent two nights at the Westin Dipomat in Feb (before a cruise) and I have to say, it was a little disappointing. The room was nothing special but we got it from hotwire for a really cheap rate (and I was pretty sure of the hotel's identity before booking thanks to the better bidding site). It was nice, but it didn't have that luxury feel.
I would have been upset if I had paid full price. Although the hotel is on the beach, there is nothing much around it so you probably need a car, and the parking is expensive.
We had intended to go back to the Westin after our cruise, but decided to go elsewhere, despite the cheap rate.

I can recommend Fontainbleau in Miami, not directly in the city but close and next to the beach. Have an awesome bar and some very decent restaurants. I heard the club (Liv) is one of the best in the US, if you are into that sort of thing.
