I have planned a 6 night vacation in Fiji next August - I just booked the flights and want to split time between the main island and private islands.

I was thinking 3 at marriott momi bay at the overwater villa and 3 at Sheraton Tokoriki island - any other thoughts appreciated.

Sheraton Tokoriki island

If you can afford Tokoriki Island Resort next door, you'll have much better experience. It is adults only however - 16 years minimum, I think.

I've been to both quite a few times.

The Sheraton is quite OK but Tokoriki Island Resort is really top notch. You can walk between the two resorts. Many Sheraton guests pop over to Tokoriki Island Resort but there's not much TIR traffic in the other direction!

Either way, Tokoriki Island itself is really terrific.

Suspect you'll regret not spending more time out-island. Havnt been to Momi but hv been to Tokoriki Isl and Much Recommend it.. We made a mistake going out there first and then having 2 nights back at Sheraton Denarau before return. It was school hols and the Sheraton/Westin complex was heaving. We thought of Momo but it seemed a bit of a trip from Nadi/Denarau to get there.
Hv a good look at Isl xfer timing, as that might influence yr logistics. Think there are 2 ferries a day out to Tokoriki and other isls in the Mamanuka/Tavua group. Getting back is based on those, or you can always get a chopper or a private speedboat.. Whatever you choose the local tsport organisation is pretty good, but do check yr options..
