I booked a Morocco tour before it was 'confirmed' then booked SQ flights to Barcelona and upgraded on points. The tour is now confirmed, and I need to figure out how and where to spend an extra 5 days after it ends in Marrakech. Suggestions? I'm leaning towards 2 days in Madrid, 3 in Barcelona.

Oh my goodness, so many stunning places to go in Spain. Beautiful old cities including Seville, Ronda, Malaga, Granada, Toledo. Could easily spend a few weeks there.

Have you been to Spain before and what interests you? I loved Seville and would happily spend another couple of days there. Lots of beautiful cities to choose from.

Only to Ibiza, so no, it doesn't really count. I love being in new places and walking amongst locals, experiencing local food. Not into churches or castles, I've been to so many over the years and remember few, but do like being an average tourist. I'm a female who travels alone so I'm very risk averse and stick to main drags.
5 days is easily spent in Spain, I preferred Madrid to Barcelona but your mileage may vary.
Thanks, I'll keep that in mind.

Yeah it's weird because in my head this trip is about Morocco so haven't put much thought into Spain. I should get my act together.

If you head into Malaga, easy to go to Ronda, Seville etc. Car rental can also be very cheap, but depending on where you want to go bus/train often works pretty well too.
