Hi all... any idea where should I credit my miles?

Note that I'm planning to combine the earned miles from other family members as well...

What are your goals, flying patterns, existing accounts like? What CC do you spend on? All those factors affect where you should credit.

wheretocredit.com is a great resource

Oddly enough, Alaska is usually the programme that earns best with CX but this is pretty useless if you dont have a way of getting more of them (though they do sell them)

British Airways have the potential to family pool with a household account and Avios are a useful currency even with a small balance. You will need too use a non-Aus address to register

My main aim is to consolidate all the miles into 1 account (through family transfer) that I can use to redeem flight, for all the be scattered among 4 family members is a waste, we don't fly as much (once a year) so the miles collected might eventually expired.

That's my first preference at the moment, thinking of redeeming JAL flight using Alaska...

How easy to family pool? Does it involve transferring to a single account then redeem?
