Sigh. Overtaken again by the Euro-lake frenzy ... peeps may want to try something different with RF1 and 2nd and 3rd pics in RF 2 here:

... or just keep sucking on the campari and tonics ...

RF1: Is that a Canadian maple leaf on the sign under the fake palm tree?
That would narrow it down.

🤷‍♀️ ;)

Rooooooo are you able to post your (as yet unidentified) picture/s again ?
I’m getting whiplash scrolling between the posts on my phone.😂!!!
I do admire the RF Dewey Decimal labelling system which helps. 👏👏
Apologies for my slowness in dotage!!!
Merci beaucoup or Grazie (depending on where the lake is)

EDIT - in fact I’m so confused (as I scrolled again) I don’t even know if I have the right poster of the lakes !!! Is it you RF ? think I’ll leave my post as evidence of my foggy brain.

Anticipatory apologies to all. This is what happens when let out of Melb lockdown… can’t handle all these new real world inputs

Yes. It will narrow it down to about one place 😀

No worries. I’m not doing lakes ATM.

… same city as each other

The first has been correctly identified as Tharros, Sardinia. It was probably founded by the Phonecians in the 8th century BC and was later occupied by the Punics and the Romans - ref Punic wars.

The next two are not identified; they are related to Tharros, but not in Sardinia. What are they and how related to the above?

Is number RF2ii Carthage (Byrsa Hill, Tunisia), a Phoenician colony?

If right, maybe number RF2iii is the Punic Harbour also in Carthage

And RF1, Drumheller Alberta

Win, win, win! 😊

RF2ii is the ruins of the Phoenician city lying underneath the Roman one at Carthage . iii is the Punic port where vessels left for Tharros ( and other places) during the Punic wars.

Carthage is within the city of Tunis, Tunisia.

All we need now is for @scaredeycat to actually come back and tell us what those two were and to get @TheRealTMA to tell us where the lake is and promise no more obscure lakes please
:) :) Ok! Clues. Well it's not an obscure lake. It's the town at the other end of this lake, which is very polular!
