A certain very large chain of Flight shops stuffed up a friends Business trip back (DOWSVN), upon confirming, was told he was in ECONOMY. (HCM to SYD) via KUL.

What is the best approach when the travel agent stuffs up? Is there some secret code that screams upgrade if possible. About to head in there, and ask them politely WHY the error occurred.

FC has offered to fix it? with alternative dates (not that good (+/- 2 days), or refund the difference - which is negligible, and will not cover the extra 10kg of extra luggage aready acquired. (Never mind prebooked ground arrangements)Fortunatley, detected 2 weeks in advance.

If you private message me, i'll be happy to provide some advice, as I used to work within the said "large chain" prior to starting my own business several years ago, i just dont want to provide it in the public domain.
