CX PE bulkhead row next to the basinet set up.

Boarded HKG-MAA with a massive, inexplicable, about-to-explode headache, beginning to run a mild temperature - along came a couple with a baby that just won't stop. Learnt later that the baby was also unwell. Poor thing :(

The FA came to my seat, welcomed me and asked if there is anything she can do to make today's flight better - I said, may I have your strongest paracetamol please.

My worst was SIN-LHR in Y with 3 of our children vomiting throughout flight. Tempered slightly by being on SQ and attendants being supportive
An English senior ED nurse friend of ours said that they'd been a public health warning passed on to watch out for other passengers with presumed norovirus
(I'd had a a stomach upset two days before leaving but everyone was OK when we left)

Following on from this thread: What's your dream flight?

I'm going to ask the opposite question. What's your idea of the worst possible flight experience that you can imagine?

It's another hard question for me to answer, but I think a middle seat near the rear toilets in Economy on any Boeing 787 flight over 17 hours (except on JAL) would be up there.
I had this situation on SYD - DOH on Qatar, except aisle seat at back of plane backing onto toilet. Limited recline too.

Worse would be me in middle seat economy sandwiched between two very large people long haul Australia to Europe.

Jetstar flight from Denpasar to Melbourne after various football codes end of year celebration trips, or maybe schoolies.

This thread is absolutely hilarious and made my day. It brought back some long forgotten memories and reminds me why about half of my disposable income goes into Business class flights.

But while I despise screaming kids as much as snoring weirdos anywhere in my close vicinity, that story about not making it to the toilet in time is actual true horror. And I now cannot un-think it, no matter how hard I try

Economy class, middle seat, with screaming children either side, delayed connection of 8 hours due to weather/operational reasons, forced to go to holding area during transit until 0430 (no lounge, not even water), no accommodation or meal vouchers provided, forced to wear mask at all times
Curious @drcam , where, when and what airline?

This happened back in 2013 flying on China Southern Airlines from BNE-CAN-CTU when weather delayed the connection. Ok, masks were not compulsory then. But we boarded the connecting flight at 0230 and didn't depart till 0430.

Add in sitting diagonally behind a guy openly watching mediocre cough on his phone.

Happened on a flight from a very strict middle eastern country going to Dubai.
We haven't discussed inter-passenger and/or crew conflict yet. That could make it more uncomfortable.
