Well I finally had my pass through.
Although I am big on ejbs idea of going to the Qantas museum I decided not to, as I had luggage to pick up (sadly was not able to seamless transfer), and although I have used the luggage storage at T3 before, it is not a quick process (as well as going back through security again).
So I headed over to T1 early and did some people watching, and I did goto the observation deck. Underneath is the Volare bar which (although I had to pay for the beer) was a nice atmos, and the guy serving was great. I know 9:30am is a little early for such capers but hey, sue me! After which I walked up the stairs and watching the QF 747s to Jo'burg and LA/NY take off. A lovely site and definitely a nice way to spend 2 hours, if not a little drawn out.
