I'm curious about what other forums are out there that you all regularly read and/or contribute too, obviously flyertalk is popular, but across all spectrums and and interests, what other do you utilise?

I myself mainly read/contribute on this forum plus affiliateforum.com.au due to my growing internet marketing business, but I also sporadically read Tony Robbins and Robert Kiyosaki's forums.

Over to you...

I spend a lot of (too much) time on Lonely Planet's ThornTree forum.

I also lurk on airliners.net. I haven't felt the need to contribute to a.net and am happy just to read.

I have been wondering this too...

For me it is generally AFF first as it is the most relevant to me, ive tried getting into FT but there is something misssing there for me. At the moment and then in no particular order from then on if there is time.

  • Redline GTI ( i own a Suzuki Swift)
  • Xp Media Centre Community ( I own a MCE)
  • GeekZone (im a geek)
  • Mtekk (I have a PDA)
  • Magna Forum ( I own one)
  • Notebook Forum (I have one of those too)
  • MP3Car.com ( I want to put one in the Magna!)
  • Micropctalk.com ( I own a Vaio UX)

As you can see there is a lot of reading and i cant possibly catch up with it all when im here for the most part but i do try. The worst thing is i have to try and do some work in between. Of course on anything and everything if you see thegurio you can be garunteed its me.

FT... natch...

SQTalk

Then it gets.. a little different...

SASSnet.com & the (Aussie) CASS site (Both "Cowboy Action Shooting")

...and an Aussie and a US site both devoted to IPSC .. a pistol shooting sport commonly known as "Practical"..

And since I travel FOR my sports it is a nice meld really.......

Mainly travel ones...

SQTalk.com (am one of the Founders and moderators there)
Flyertalk.com (mainly trip reports, bmi diamond club and oneworld fora)
Travelingbetter.com (v occasionally)
Malaysianwings.com/forum (because i have friends there, but great for the latest on MH)

and I used to pop into Cathaytalk occassionally but they're having to sort out some server issues.

*There's one more but I'm sworn to secrecy on that one unfortunately...:-|
(edit: don't worry has got nothing to do with anyone connected to this forum, just a couple of exiles from the FT BA board :p)

Interesting thread!

Whirlpool Broadband Forums (my guru for all IT issues)

FlyerTalk Forums (though not as much since I found this more Aussie inclined way of thinking forum - still FT is interesting!)

Reviews of vacations, hotels, resorts, vacation and travel packages - TripAdvisor (invaluable when booking accommodation - just for the ratings - I also contribute about areas I have some knowledge)

PassionForPixels - Australian Digital Photography Forums and Competitions (terrific photography forum - well worth just a browse through but also good to post on if you are into photography - advice is from experts and even wannabees like me can end up with some good pics)

Uh .. after the "other" thread of the day .. I'm somewhat reluctant to post.. can someone please mark me in or out ...

I have a large and topically varied list of groups that I frequent.

One of the most entertaining lists over the past 6 months has been the america's cup list on Sailing Anarchy.

An amazing mixture of contributors .. many with an interesting and erudite intellect , and almost as many argumentive nitwits specialising in inventive gutter language.. a truly open list .
The courts have just decided in favour of the Swiss and the cries of angst and woe make great reading.

Apart from AFF it is FT,TA and very occasionally Travelling Better. Also read Chowhound but a virgin as far as posts go.

Mainly AFF.

Now that I am working away from home I don't have any time to log on to any other forums. I do frequent Flyertalk occasionally and a another forum specific to Thailand.

Flyertalk, whirlpool, sqtalk.

Seems fairly common amongst the ones listed above!

I'm sorry, there is a forum for Magna owners??? Now i've heard everything!

TG

I kid you not... aussiemagna.com/forums He he he, its really scary what people spend on those things! And yes used to be/still are part of Pajero, Nissan GQ forums everywhere. Like ColinP said, there would be and is a forum for almost every car produced.
