What one world lounge IAD

I am travelling from Aruba via Dulles to LAX on AA F class. The only lounge in B terminal is BA. Their stance is only BA ticketed and international.guests allowed. My reasoning was, I am travelling on an international itinerary, I am flying F class and I am SG as well. Is this a one world lounge?
An angel made an exception for us however a lounge cough captured me and insisted on the boarding pass routine and did the BA bit. I must have looked tired and hang dog as she backed off.
What is the correct position?

Maybe I'm missing something but this does seem quite straight forward, confirming your access eligibility?

the nice person at the door only let us in as a favour however the nasty piece inside did not concede that our presence was legitimate on any count. Her position was that the lounge was solely for BA passengers.
I don't know if we an have any effect on this.

Well, the OneWorld website shows it as one of theirs. Did you happen to notice if the OW logo was on display?

Must say, I would have expected to be admitted without fuss, had I been in the situation you describe.

Then again, along with many others here, I have encountered the "Get thee off this hallowed turf" treatment, when expecting a warm welcome, at times.

In this case, size doesn't matter!
You were right. They were wrong.
At least you were admitted, albeit grudgingly. But it should not be so hard.
