I'm sure this has been covered before but I was curious.
What is the largest single spend you have been able to put through your credit card (Earning points of course) without having to pay any fees like an AMEX surcharge

Private school fees and.... the school doesn't charge any surcharge for paying by Amex. Westpac credit the points to Altitude about 2 days after I pay the fees well before the credit card statement arrives.

largest fee free charge was $5000 electrical goods. largest transaction with fee's $25k for 2 RTW and tours etc.

$10,000AUD on a function room @ Park Lane Hotel, HK.

The boss left in a hurry so someone had to pay the bill. The next person in charge hadn't signed up for membership rewards, so told me to take it if I wanted.

I did have doubts about our expense department approving it however, when I got the receipt showing ~60,000HKD for "food and beverage". (Of course following that was a detailed invoice.)
