Hi All,
I have a TID annual travel insurance policy and recently had to make a claim because I was hospitalized overseas for a couple of weeks with a spontaneous Lung collapse.
They handled the claim very professionally, but as part of the process I read the PDS again to see what I was entitled to, but also to see if there may be any repercussions for future travel.
Basically, the policy states that they cannot cover a recurrence of that medical issue for a 24 month period. The likelihood of it recurring is supposed to be 10% according to the local specialist.
Does anyone have any experience of other annual family policies that may have a shorter waiting period? 24 months is a long time, and I really don't like the idea of of upping the mortgage the house if Murphy's law were to strike.
Thanks
