Curious to know what seats you would pick on AC 34 for 2 pax.

It’s a Boeing 777-200LR/F (twin-jet) (B77L).

Almost all are open at the moment so I can take my pick.

Thanks!

Not row 7
Couples travelling together might want D,G. But then again they might want A,K

A and K seats angle toward outside of airplane
D,G seats angle toward each other

Other than 7 (in front of galley) there are no bad seats

Used to travel this frequently. Row 7 A or K was my pick, as due to angled seats, and no-one behind to use 'their' space, row 7 had good extra space. Notwithstanding galley behind, (and I'm a very light sleeper), I rarely had issues with noise, light etc.

Other than that, all pretty much the same as far as I recall.

I don’t remember @RooFlyer

Are the loos behind 7 then the doors, or are the aircraft doors behind 7 and then the loos behind the doors?.

If A quick deplane is required at destination due to tight connection, or if you want to be first to immigration queue, 7 might be a good idea as they usually use aircraft door 2Left

I checked an old TR, and the galley is immediately behind. But I made the comment there, that I wasn't bothered by noise from the galley, BUT I see I was in row 6 against the bulkhead, not row 7. That was in 2014, so maybe they's reconfigured the cabin (but I think the principle of the extra space would stay, as they still use herringbones)

And as I've completely ignored the OPs comment that its a matter of 2 seats, everything I've said may be irreverent!! (Sorry) 😕:eek:

Actually, for the last few years in J we have usually got the 2 middle seats.

But what actually happens is other than a brief chat at the beginning of the flight, we eat, drink, watch movies and sleep. So there's really no need to be in the middle. Plus we miss take-off and landing views.

So I'm thinking I will book window seats this time.

I think we'll go for 6A and 7A based on your recommendation.

Is it ever the case that the further down the rows you are in J that you can tend to miss out on the meal option you want because they start with orders at the front of the plane?

Personally I would go for row 5 and 6, both windows. The difference of one row (2 pax) to 'speed your exit' will be minimal (if they use 2L). Why take the chance that your crew might be the noisy ones in the galley? Or decide they want to have a mid flight chat in the galley? Plus further back, the greater the engine noise.

Middle of the front cabin is usually safe from all risks.

We flew, as a couple, in the middle seats and afterward wished we'd taken the windows. It wasn't easy to chat -- from memory, we were enough of a distance apart that it became too much trouble to bother. And we missed the approach views.

Yeah. With reverse herringbone this is the issue - they really aren't conducive to conducting a conversation. Sure, you may be able to say a few words, but I don't think that tradeoff is worth missing out on the windows and everything else that comes with the window seats that includes more sense of space, increased privacy and control of the shades.
