So I have a RTW (DONE5) ticket with various stopovers on multiple carriers including QF, BA and CX. The ticket has been issued by Qantas. My Marco Polo (CX) number is entered into the booking. Interestingly when I log into my CX account I can see all of the booking sectors and assigned seat numbers but functionality ends there. It will not let me do any changes or add any requests for the CX flights. I cannot even see the e-ticket number, it actually has no record of one and says "contact you travel agent" I assume that this is because it is a QF issued ticket.

I would have thought that by now that there would at least be some better integration, after all when I look at the booking on Checkmytrip I can see nearly everything, including the e-ticket number but can only look, there is no functionality. Essentially I still have to ring Qantas for most things, only a few things can be done on the QF website through manage my booking. Will we ever have a platform that lets us "self bookers" perform all of the functions from one site?

Re: Website integration and functionality

It is better since CX moved to Amadeus and all three airlines you are flying are on Amadeus but what they pull through to their website is their choice.

I have had no problems doing CX seat changes on AA issued tickets.
And the QF website lets you choose seats on BA and CX that seem to stick.

Re: Website integration and functionality

You are correct. The CX site does let me change my seat but I cannot change the seat of my traveling companion who is on the same PNR. I suppose that I have to recognize that cross integration and functions is some way off. Interestingly I just realised that on the QF website in Manage Bookings the e-ticket number doesn't show either. For some reason I thought it did?
