Many Australians collect Qantas Frequent Flyer points by default. But with 1 in 3 Australian credit card transactions earning Qantas points, Qantas struggling to answer the phone, and millions of Australians competing for the same Classic Reward seats on Qantas and its partners, it can be very difficult to redeem Qantas points to international destinations.
Virgin Australia’s international network may be limited, but Virgin partners with some unique airlines that offer reward seats to Velocity members. If you need to call Velocity, they even answer the phone. Plus, once Velocity resumes offering the ability to transfer points to Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer miles, this will open up more reward seats for Velocity members across the entire Star Alliance network!
