I know that many of you are enjoying Matt's AFF on Air podcasts. As you probably know this is a free service available to all our members. But did you know that Matt also conducts regular webinars over at Frequent Flyer Solutions, our sister website.

When choosing a points-earning credit card, you’ll usually have the option of earning points directly with an airline (e.g. Qantas or Virgin) or earning points with the bank’s own rewards program.

While many Australians choose a co-branded Qantas Frequent Flyer credit card by default, there are some key advantages to earning points with credit card rewards programs instead. This includes the flexibility to transfer points to multiple different airlines, giving you much greater access to award flights across multiple airlines – and often better value, too. Using a credit card rewards program is also a great “insurance policy” against the expiry or devaluation of airline points!

There are more than a dozen credit card rewards programs in Australia. Some offer excellent value, while others are mediocre at best. In this webinar, we’ll provide an overview of all the major programs, reveal the best ones and explain how to redeem your credit card points for the maximum possible value.

This one-hour webinar will include:

  • Overview of Australian credit card reward programs
  • Pros & cons of earning points in a bank rewards program vs directly with an airline
  • How much are credit card points worth, and what are the best ways to redeem them?
  • Special offers to earn bonus points on transfers to frequent flyer programs
  • How to earn Star Alliance Gold status by transferring your credit card points to an airline
  • Additional perks of credit card reward programs, such as free wine when dining at restaurants
  • The opportunity to ask questions
  • And much more!
Join Matt at 8pm (AEST) on Wednesday, 16 June 2021 for the next Frequent Flyer Solutions webinar.
