Good Evening all.

Heading to the USA in August and spending 4 days in Washington. Have googled Washington tours and a few come up that sound great. Just seeing if anyone here has done any tours and did you think you got to see enough for the $$ paid? Not fussed if I have to pay extra to see a lot more/get into the major places.

This is a 1 day one we are looking at - DC Bus Tours Washington - DC Main Attractions Tour

This is the 2 day one we are looking at - Washington DC Sightseeing - 2 Day Grand City Tour

If anyone has any other input would love to hear it.

Thanks

Have you thought about doing this yourself? DC is a very easy city to get around.

We did the "old town trolley" night tour - it was excellent - that took us to all the sights in the one tour.
The other 3 days we spent in museums

Well, thats the other option. Less stress if we can just rock up to a meet point and get a bus ride to all the places with a tour guide.

Use this site to book a tour of the Capitol building. Take the earliest tour possible and get there early. The line can stretch for hundreds of metres.

When I was there last October I walked a lot and found it the best way to get around. Most things are free and the sights are awesome.

Don't forget to visit Arlington National Cemetery which is very close by, i.e. walking distance if you're very keen.
