Looks like Virgin will run a 737-800 on the SYD-CBR route this afternoon. VA658 - the 4.50pm SYD-CBR service, and VA669 - CBR-SYD at 7.05pm, will be on a Boeing 737-800.

This would be the first time I can recall Virgin flying a jet on this route since pre-covid times.
The VA website still says it’s operated by Link Airways. I assume that’s a mistake as the seat map clearly shows a 737 layout. No J being sold on the VA website but the GDS listing for this flight shows J available and I note that 2 J seats are currently occupied on tomorrow’s VA669 (which also looks quite full in Y).
Perhaps Virgin realised the extra capacity (and much nicer travel experience than the Link Saab) would be a good idea at the end of the parliamentary sitting week?
