I flew ADL-MEL yesterday and MEL-SYD tonight, both in J. The Priority bag tag applied to my bag in ADL yesterday was orange and had a purple end where the Virgin Australia logo is imprinted. On tonight's Priority tag, the background on the end where the Virgin Australia logo appears was dark grey.

So my question ... purely for curiosity ... is there a difference?

In my experience:

Purple = Flying J
Grey = Gold/Plat VFF not flying J.

Perhaps, they just grabbed the wrong one in MEL for your flight. Not that it makes any difference what so ever as far as I can tell.

Thanks jlm - agree it made not a jot of difference, was just curious what the difference was!
