Hi all,
A quick one. From what I gather the Etihad F lounge in AUH (which always was great) is under construction.
What/Where should i expect in AUH on the way to Europe in 2 weeks. VA Plat flying in Etihad J.

Many thanks,
EF

On a recent flight to LHR via AUH, as a Platinum member I was allowed entry into the reserved area within the Business Class lounger set aside for F passengers. However on the return flight I was denied entry saying that they had too many F passengers occupying the area.

Depending on the time of day, the lounge can be extremely busy.

That's good to know, thanks! I'm also in AUH (WP travelling J) next week so will give it a go. What are the peak times? I'll be there roughly between 23:00 and 02:00.

That was the time I was there and was able to access the F Reserved area.

It's no big deal, it's literally just an area of the 'premium' lounge that is roped off for F. Only difference is the waiters will serve you drinks to your table, other than that food, amenities etc are as per normal.. you will also notice that within the F area there is another roped off area at the back corner for 'residence' guests..

It is no big deal and when we were there in July it's almost more of a hassle to go past the "door coughes" on the way in and out. It's nice that the waiters can bring you coffee or a drink but like most I prefer to choose my own items from the buffet. It is an excellent lounge though with plenty of room but can certainly get crowded at peak times. If you want a shower and are male (womens seem to be much quicker) go straight to the spa as soon as you arrive and put your name down. They'll give you an electric buzzer which lets you know they're ready for you. On my recent lounge visit in Nov it was 1 1/2 hours before i got the call. Nice rooms though and certainly great to be able to shower and freshen up.
