hi everyone,
apologies if there is a thread about this. I just couldn't find it.
Just wanted to ask if anyone else is having an issue booking the 2 for 1 flights.
I rang up this morning and the customer service representative said she couldn't see my eligibility and how many available segments I had and advised me to call Virgin Money, which I did.
They said it all looked find on their end, with the credit card linked to the Velocity account. The Virgin Money rep even called Velocity while I was on hold to verify I was eligible. But Velocity said because their systems couldn't see my eligibility and the number of available segments left, the couldn't do the booking. Velocity said it was a technical issue.
Anyone else experienced something similar in recent days? Makes me think about giving up the card.

It's been over a year since I cancelled the card, but the "my benefits" section of the VA website still reports that I have 4 reduced flight offers remaining .

My partner booked 2 for 1 flights on her card on Sunday without issue. I've previously had to wait for 15+ minutes on the line to confirm eligibility, but it has always gone through.

Ever since the 2-4-1 offer was thrown in the gutter a year ago I pretty much forgot about the offer on this card - its usually cheaper just to buy 2 x sale fares. I still have the card - I just ring up each year threatening to cancel and they waive the annual fee. I don't even know if they deduct the flights from the 'reduced flights offer' balance when I book - I dont even check there it just always seems to be available.

Virgin Money did a great job in taking a popular card and destroying it.

Remember when VA switched over the Sabre and the 2-4-1 balance was 'N/A' for like 6 weeks? That was certainly a cheap year of travel!

I've had the card for some time (still have it, though it eludes me as to why) but my VA account has not shown the available flights at all ever since the sabre debacle. I have no idea as to whether I have the available sectors or not.......and TBH, I'm not even remotely interested. I must ring up and cancel it.
