Curiously happens to be right after the May transfer bonus period. Now that your points are locked into Velocity, lets do some enhancements (I hope not!)

I hope whatever this is won’t be delayed and then cancelled like the last PR stunt in Sydney.
Do you mean the hangar event in BNE (for "bring on wonderful/middle seat lottery")?

This one should go ahead as planned :)

Will there a simpler and fairer thing as well?
Seeing that the DPS flight has a bad rating on here, and we know that cost cutting will still go on.
Most likely a 2 step forward and one step back.
===
Remember when they brought in "lower fares do not count as eligble sectors" which in the end, gave them a gain, at our loss.
If you want to climb the status tree, you will have to give us more.

"We are excited to announce that... ... ...
But we regret to announce that due to rising cost of operating our *********** Frequent Flyer, we have to
a. + point
b. + point
c. + point
and then announce that they will be enacting a small annual fee for operating the account.

Jokes aside, I wonder if on one side it will mean changing the award charts, current status requirements and/or introduction of a WP++ tier (meaning dilution of SG perks even more).

I do hope this is them packaging new partner perks for a big announcement.
Benefits on HA and NH, new perks on QR (seat selection), outstation lounge access on SQ (Silverkris lounge in SIN *gasp*), a new European partner??

Am I getting ahead of myself? Yes. Will this just be an « enhancement »? Probably.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

AFF Supporters can remove this and all advertisements

I wouldn’t expect anything that would materially impact future cash flow. That would add as some uncertainty to float projections which I don’t think they would want.

Interesting to see that the original Executive Traveller article that mentioned the June 1 event has now been pulled, and is now nowhere to be seen on ET's home page.
I think we'll find they jumped ahead of the embargo period as it hasn't been formally announced on the VA newsroom yet.
