Virgin Australia Middle Seat Lottery

Virgin Australia is advertising "Something Wonderful is Coming" on 23/10/2022 across their social media platforms. Could this be related to the twice-cancelled event because of cOvId?

Let the speculation begin.

1. New Livery?
2. Star Alliance?
3. New Uniforms?
4. New International (Short Haul) destinations?
5. Qatar or United stake?
6. Widebody leases?

If Etihad is anything to go by, it'll be new crockery and cushions.

On the other hand, maybe its another re-birth 🤣 !

Lifetime status?

I doubt it’s anything major but some of Jayne’s comments around international travel yesterday were interesting to say the least

My guess is livery to match the new logo and branding. Remember it is a hanger event so not a huge point of putting it there unless you have a plane to show.

A 737 is parked in front of their hangar - been a week at least. I wonder what it will be about.

I'll relatively confident to go with new livery for the new logo and therefore new uniforms.

Jayne also mentioned at a Flight Centre conference a couple of days ago they want to get back into international more.

Anyone else?

Wonder if that means short haul with the 737s or acquiring new aircraft to do medium/long haul again.

Doubt is a new livery nothing is in TSV being painted at the moment.

If it's the specials landing page, then perhaps HND launch fares. However I see nothing wonderful about flying in a narrow body all the way to Japan.

The Australian Aviation article on this particular presentation states mostly short-haul international with some mention of HND and the IASC's March ultimatum.

I think that CNS-HND on a MAX8 for the March launch may not be a bit of a stretch if VA could get the MAX8s delivered on time.
