Virgin Australia + Delta (26 hour stopver)

I would appreciate if someone can advise if my baggage can be checked in to final Destination Sydney (ex USA via LAX). I plan to fly Orlando-LAX Delta domestic connecting to Virgin Australia LAX-SYD 26 hours later with stopover in LAX. I would appreciate if someone can pls clarify if I can check in my baggage to Sydney from Orlando direct. I thought usually final destination check is offered for connection with 24hour so not sure if Virgin Australia will allow me to do check in with 26 hours stopover.

I bought Virgin Australia ticket (with Delta code share).

You can certainly check your bags all the way from Orlando to Sydney with Delta. I did this a few days ago (going via LAX and MEL). Not too sure on the stopover side of the equation though as we went straight through.

With a stopover you will have to collect your bags.
