Hi everyone,

Apologies if this has already been covered but I couldn't find it searching the forums. I'm looking at going to London over the holidays via Virgin Atlantic VS201 SYD -LHR. I am a Gold VFF. Will I earn status credits for SYD-HKG, HKG-LHR despite it being the one flight number (VS201). I tried using the velocity status credit calculator and it says Not Available when I choose Sydney - London.

Or should I be looking at an alternative flight?

Cheers

HI, you will earn SC as if it was one flight - its the same flight number all the way through. The HKG and LHR Club houses are great and if you are flying Upper you wont regret it.

I just did this flight and earned 150 status credits in premium economy from SYD to LHR

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

You'll earn 50 SC in economy, 150 in PE or 200 in UC in each direction. If you include a stopover in Hong Kong, the SCs earned will increase because you end up with 4 separate flight segments, but when I looked into it, it also caused the fare to increase significantly.

The flight experience is good, and worth it alone for the Heathrow Clubhouse experience when you fly out from London.

Yep you earn 50 - i opted for Singapore in the end for similar price and 140 SC's each way
