From the details:
Virgin domestic up 8pc
Virgin load factors down due to new capacity (a330s and 738s replacing 737-700s)
Virgin group (including international) up 6.7pc
Qantas domestic down 3.1%
Qantas group (including International and Jetstar) up 4.6pc

Back of the envelope analysis seems to be that Virgin are successfully pulling customers away from QF although Jetstar seems to be picking up (some) of the slack for QFs bottom line.

But Mr Donohue says the airline is hampered by the fact that it has only nine gates compared with Qantas mainline's 16, despite a similar number of departures. "This is a problem when there are delays due to air-traffic control or other issues, but he expects it to be addressed by improvements at Sydney, which include a big refurbishment of its dedicated pier at Terminal 2 that adds five new narrow-body parking bays and allow it to accommodate up to four A330s. "By the end of the year we're going to go from nine to 14 gates," Mr Donohue says."So that will give me a hell of a lot more flexibility to manage the air-traffic control delays."
