We're due out on 14th...to pick up a dive trip. If we don't fly then we quite literally miss the boat. Im thinking positively...

This will surely lead to many bogan eruptions...

aww man, flying MEL-DPS on 5th too at 0915. Going for my 5 day honeymoon and meeting the missus there as she's already in Bali. This really puts a dent in the plans.

Going to be anxiously watching the Virgin site for updates all day today :(

Current update: Virgin cancelled all flights today. Jetstar has cancelled all early flights today, and will update on later flights closer to lunchtime.
Garuda has not mentioned anything online as far as I can find except to call the call centre. Even their facebook page is lacking real current information.

ABC are saying Bali and Lombok airports are both closed now.

GA are advising that the airport is temporarily closed until at least 08:45 local time.
Yeah saw that pop up note when I visited their official website, along with "call customer service", but no words directly saying "cancelled/delayed flights".

I'm flying QF to DPS on Christmas Day and by then I'm hoping they won't be joining the party...

It'll be interesting to see what the insurance companies make of it, given it is a different volcano to the last one. Some weren't providing cover after the last one...

Gee Bali could be the go to location for those people smugglers that Tony turned back their boats? Seems plenty of business to get people to Australia as flight is no go!

Flight is tomorrow morning on virgin, and they've recheduled it to Sunday the 8th. Tomorrows flight time is 6hrs, and the new flight has a total travel time of 17hrs or something. Way to go.

17hrs? What routing is that?

Flew Jetstar PER to DPS on 1/11 then DPS to SIN 2/11 for 4 days as a surprise for my girlfriend's birthday (Sofitel Sentosa Resort & Spa which was smashing).

Was due back to DPS this morning for another 15 days.

Stuck here hoping Surabaya (SUB) is still open tomorrow as have booked Tiger 08.10 flight to SUB and intend to get a car & driver for the 10 hour drive to the Bali ferry and to Denpasar.

Jetstar Asia wimped out on SIN - SUB flights yesterday- possibly because their planes/crews were out of position.

Sky news reported DPS re-opened at 14.30 with flights expected to start at 16.30.

So Jetstar's response at 19.00 AEDT was to cancel the remaining flights on for tomorrow.

Good on you Jetstar.

Their mobile version app and mobile view webpages don't allow a cancelled flight to be rebooked.

After a 25 minute phone call, I finally was advised the web version allows bookings not the mobile version and it allows a rebooking on the 10th. Nothing earlier.

Jetstar once again proving their name as a cheap airline.

If need to call again, they so confirmed the same 15 rigmarole to speak with a human being.
