I use travelport universal desktop to create PNR's and manage client profiles. I noticed in the profile template there is a radio box for "VIP". I read the contents page of an recently published IATA manual that had a whole chapter dedicated to VIP's.

I've asked a number of colleagues and my favourite response was "every clien is a VIP". I can't help but feel there's a lot more to this concept than what I'm hearing.

Can anyone offer some help or point me in the direction of some literature?

Thank you :-)
