Last night I made 2 hone calls to the AA ATW desk.

One to start a booking Done4 booking, the other to get the AA7xx_ flight changed to what I asked for (QF108!).

However, most of today, I get an error when trying to look at the booking.

Your reservation details cannot be retrieved at this time. This may be caused by changes made to the reservation outside of AA.com. Please contact AA Reservations.

Anyone had this before.

yes. Could be that something may be wrong with the booking ( e.g. an unconfirmed flight ) or perhaps a schedule change

Do as they say and contact AA reservations and they will be able to check

I tried, They are not open for another hour and thirty six minures.

That is why I asked what it could be from the "Guru's"

Ok,

I got onto them. A flight moved by 1 hour (and hence changed day 2330-0030+1) so that locked me out.

Sorted now. I have been hit with $722 in taxes. Not bad for a rather maxed miles and sector DONE4 with a stopover in the evil LHR

KHI-HKG-LHR-DXB-AMM-DME-ORD-PHX-MIA-LAX-DFW-JFK-SYD-HKG-DPS-HKG-KHI

I wanted to beg/borrow/steal an eVIP for the DME-ORD route, but alas it is a 2 class 767 servicing the 11 hour flight .

US reservations are open 24 hours a day and can check these things out. US Reservations will not ( normally ) make any changes to an ATW ticket but will be able to see what issues there are

My booking has gone AWOL again. So I called the US Res number. And all I got was "Oh My God this is a complicated booking" from 3 people, before someone wait there are notes here but I do not unerstand them. Best all the ATW desk in 2 hours. :|

Hmmm

Just to compare seating and the best for sleeping/comfort my rating is (for long haul J):

CX new (flat meerkat bed)
BA new (flat ying yang grey plastic)
AA new (sloping)
BA old (flat tatty and awful IFE)
QF (sloping and you have "Will the staff be grumpy" gamble)
CX old (sloping, small)
AA old (let us never mention this again)

I slept very well from take off through to landing pretty much on a 7 hour AA flight.

I passed on the food - which mrssimongr advised was a smart move. Note there is no difference in the food between J and F on AA I am led to believe.
