This came to me this morning as a Scoopon deal, (Scoopon.com.au), but I haven't checked what a normal comparable price might be.

I would call the hotel direct and ask them to match the "internet" price as a refundable booking, or whatever Vibe's normal refundable conditions are. Multiple nights can be booked under that Scoopon deal.

Only useful if no lounge access, otherwise I reckon you are much safer being at the airport. I got caught departing the other day, but the status of when I may have eventually got on kept changing as apparently several aircraft took off (from Mel, Syd, Brisbane I believe) and circled in the hope of landing, only to return if there wasn't a break in the fog. Given this, the flight status boards still had optimistic departure times. Even as a P1 I had no contact from QF giving me updates - so I'd think it best to be at the airport.

Probably will get some custom from the businesses nearby. Maybe airline staff too?
