Yes, I doubt the email was correct, as he came back to say that a PA announcement rambled on about the Virgin app, then everyone was reminded to put their devices into flight mode. His attempt to logon was unsuccessful so he read the paper they gave him. Only a 90 minute flight so he didn't care, but I like to track his experiences in the hope that it helps others.
