I've just done our yearly FF points booking to the US in Feb next year, and for whatever reason, it was the easiest FF Points booking I've ever done.
Normally we need to juggle departure and arrival dates to suit the "system" and whilst we generally get close to what we want, this time I got exactly what we wanted in terms of flights on the day at the time we wanted.
Put it down to the economic downturn, or whatever else, all I can say is that it is working for us at present.
