Velocity SQ flight retimed by 5 mins. Free Cancellation?

Hi All,

I made a SQ redemption via Velocity a few months ago. Plans changed and I am wanting to cancel the flight. The flight isnt until December so I was happy to wait until the last few days to cancel, in the event of any flight changes.

I just received an email saying the flight is retimed by 5 minutes lol. Would that constitutes free cancellation or am I dreaming?

I had a retimed flight email the other week from SQ. It was also 5 minutes. The email stated that it was free to change or cancel if it was via USA.

I have another which was over 30 minutes and I was able to change the day with no extra cost

I had this once with Qantas when they cancelled a domestic flight for “operational reasons” and moved to another flight an hour later. They refused to refund. Cited their contract, blah blah.

But this is SQ so maybe you will have more success.

Yes. I just had free cancellation by 6 min change by SQ with Velocity redemption 2 months ago

From 23:59 to 0:05 or vice versa?

And I just 10 minutes ago had SQ change my Velocity flight by 15 minutes and It said please contact your purchasing airline if you wish to change or cancel.
