Hi All, if I book a FLEXI CNS-BNE-TSV return can I upgrade using points? And will it be classed as CNS-TSV or CNS-BNE-TSV for points and status credit earning and cost of upgrade?

Thanks Brad.

If it's booked as conecting flight and not as individual sectors with different reservation numbers then the velocity points and status credits are based upon SYD - TSV.

Every flight number is it's own SC's and points value.

Yes points upgrades are available on flexi fares.

Points earn depend on how you booked it. If you plug CNS-TSV into the booking engine that's how it'll earn. If you do a multi-city of CNS-BNE-TSV then each leg will earn separately. In the second case you can't get return flights in the same booking and it might cost more.

Not necessarily with Velocity domestic bookings.

If the OP's fare was booked as CNS-TSV then earning would be for CNS-TSV, even if connecting in BNE.

Of course, the upgrade cost would be for CNS-TSV, but would need the upgrade class (Q) available on both CNS-BNE and BNE-TSV.

It's a good example of why the DJ system works against them when it comes to sectors, the loss of a J seat on both legs for such a small amount of seats compensates for the lack of SC earn, I wonder what is costing more?
