Velocity PointsMax with Agoda - email offer

Who else got this email? It does seem to open up some properties that do not come up on the normal www.virginaustralia.com accommodation search page. I've been looking at some Jersey City accom, and certain apartments that I could only access via Booking.com are coming up via the email link. However the earn rates are a bit all over the place. There are some large bonuses, however a lot seem to be 1.5 points per dollar. As a WP, I'm used to earning 6 points per dollar on Agoda. Unsure if the 6 points is on top of these 'PointMax' bonuses or not.

The T&C's below. It appears to state - "Additional Get 5 VFF points for every AUD$1 spent is on top of points already set aside for PointsMAX Packages."

It would appear that this promotion is separate to what a VA WP would earn through the Velocity link.

• The Velocity membership number must belong to the guest staying at the hotel (identified by the lead guest name);
• The rates for PointsMAX bookings may be different from regular bookings at the same conditions;
• PointsMAX booking rates cannot be broken down into a room rate and points component;
• Any applicable room cancellation policy will apply in full to the PointsMAX bookings;
• Only Velocity Points can be collected, not status points;
• PointsMAX bookings cannot be adjusted online using the Agoda self-service tool or by contacting Customer Service. To amend your reservations, you will need to cancel (subject to the cancellation conditions of the reservation ) and re-book your reservation. Cancelled reservations will not earn points, regardless of the financial cancellations conditions;
• Points cannot be exchanged in cash and are not coughulative with other offers;
• The Agoda best price guarantee does not apply to PointsMAX bookings; and
• The Members are bound by the terms and conditions of AGODA and Velocity Frequent Flyer Pty Ltd the owner and operator of Velocity Frequent Flyer program.
