We had just over 700,000 VFF points.

Have now redeemed for 2 of us to fly Syd - Singapore -Stockholm and Copenhagen - Singapore - Sydney all in SQ business, in Sept 2020. We will then buy a flight Stockhol - Reykyavik-Copenhagen with SAS or Icelandair. No options there to earn any VFF SCs or points unfortunately

Took every one of our VFF points and approx $380 in fees.

All online. We had the points sitting unused so far preferred that option. Its our once-in-a-decade-without-kids trip so nothing better to use the points on than this.

Awesome. Sounds like a great trip.

I just flew my first SQ J award trip last week and was blown away by how good they were. I’m considering dedicating all my points efforts towards SQ it was so amazing!

Best to keep 2 separate accounts, SQ KF and VFF, and only combine if you have a reward in mind.
When VFF and Air NZ had their FF agreement, I have never had a flight rejected as to miles accumulation.
With SQ and VFF, and SQ and Air NZ, I have had 1 flight each for points accumulation rejected.
Flew SQ subclass of J MEL - WKG, points were in my KF account without a retro claim needed
On the awards or utilisation part of poinrs, with SQ, it can probably works 99.9% very well

I wanted to book a 1-way CDG-SYD on the VA website but it wouldn't permit me to enter SYD as a destination (or anywhere else in Oz for that matter, whereas New Zealand destinations are fine) - but I can book a LHR-SYD 1-way with no problem. Anyone know why I can't leave from CDG?

Tried that. They don’t know. Seems like there are a few classes of informed call takers.
