Hi all,
since the website is mostly down I cannot find the answer anywhere!

To use the "blue holiday" hotel booking system which I have now used to find a price on the hotel I want, I want to see if it is any use using my points to pay for the hotel. Is there a typical exchange value at all? I.E 10,000points = $100 off the booking? Something like that.... thanks!

*bump*

Anybody else ever redeem their velocity points for hotel bookings? Playing around with the booking engine it doesn't seem to be of too bad value actually.

Any experience that you may have and if you could share would be great! :)

Hi, the value of redemption per velocity point equates to about 0.7cents.
Using a Woolworths gift card as a comparison for value, the gift card also equates to around 0.7cents, so it's not mispriced.

I used the Conrad Hong Kong to compare the price offered through booking on their site (using discount promotions etc), and it was the same as the price offered by Velocity.

So it could be a sensible option to redeem your points if you required.
