Might be a stupid question, but can I still use velocity points to book a trip to the US?
I am not really fussed what airline I go with, Used to love flying there with Virgin but seems it is no longer an option.

Thinking of taking the chance that things might be OK in November/December this year so want to take my kids back. 3 years has been too long.

As mentioned above it might be best to wait until April to see what the VA/UA partnership entails. Otherwise your only options currently are with HA, AC or EY. Still waiting to see on how things pan out with SQ and NH but that may be another option

I'd say wait till the full details of the UA/VA partnership entails. The codeshares on the USA end is currently awaiting clearance by US DoT.

Hopefully by 2023 we won't need to have a negative PCR covid test, for domestic or overseas travel.
More so for the cost of per person testing, not cheap as its not covered by Medicare, and if you don't have the symptoms, and its for travel, its not covered.
Not only leaving Au for the US, but also for coming back.
Will add a lot of costs to the trip.
