I'm about to fly Malaysian airlines to Europe. Malaysian's rewards program is 'Enrich', but I can earn points for this flight on my existing Velocity membership. Is there much difference between the two in terms of earning/redeeming points?

I did the same and chose Velocity. It was the better choice when it comes to redeeming local services such as car hire etc.
